Fix iPhone Speaker — Free Water Ejection for All Models

Run our free sound-wave ejection tool in Safari, Chrome, or any browser. Works on every iPhone from iPhone 6 to iPhone 16 Pro Max — no app required.

iPhone water resistance by model

  • iPhone 7 / 8 / SE 2: IP67 (1m / 30 min)
  • iPhone X / XS / XR: IP67
  • iPhone 11: IP68 (2m / 30 min)
  • iPhone 12 / 13 / 14: IP68 (6m / 30 min)
  • iPhone 15 / 16 (all variants): IP68 (6m / 30 min)

Note: water resistance does not mean water cannot enter the speaker grille. The mesh is designed to let sound out — water still gets in.

Step-by-step ejection

  1. Open SpeakerRescue tool in Safari
  2. Select iPhone from the device picker
  3. Turn the volume slider to maximum
  4. Hold the iPhone with the bottom speaker facing down
  5. Tap the 165Hz Deep Water Ejection mode
  6. Watch for droplets appearing on the grille
  7. Repeat 2–3 times for heavy exposure

Bottom speaker vs earpiece

On Face ID iPhones the top earpiece also acts as a secondary speaker. Run the session twice — once upright (earpiece) and once inverted (bottom speaker).

Post-repair test

Play a podcast or piano track. Sound should be clear and full. If muffling remains, leave the iPhone in a container with silica gel for 24 hours and run another session.
